LONDON WOOL MARKET.
Messrs Levin and Co., Lt.l., have received a cablegram from their London agents advising that September sales opened with an advance of 7| per cent, for finest crossbreds; other varieties steady. By Telegraph —Press Association. Received September 26, 8.52 a.m. LONDON, September 25. The wool sales opened brisk at from par to 5 per cent, advance. Eight thousand and four bales offered, including 7,282 of New Zealand crossbreds, chiefly slipes, prices for which remained unaltered. A few bales of merino were fully 5 per cent, dearer than at the closing sales of the last series. There was a large attendance and good general competition. Received September 26, 1.5 p.m. LONDON, September 25. There is spirited competition, and prices are very firm.
