AMERICAN SHIP WRECKED.
SURVIVORS RESCUED BY A REVENUE CUTTER. Received September 23, 8.58 s.m. SAN FRANCISCO, September 25. News has reached here of the loss of the American ship John Currier, a wooden vessel of 1,945 tons, built in 1882 arid commanded by Captain Murchison. The John Currier was wrecked at Bristol Bay, Alaska. Fortunately the revenue cutter Thetis appeared on the scene opportunely and rescued survivors numbering 242. These were conveyed to Seattle.
