PERMANENT INVESTMENT AND BUILDING SOCIETY.
The following is the thirty-first annual report of the Masterton Permanent Investment and Building Society, to be presented to shareholders at the annual meeting of the Society, on Monday, October 7th, 1907, at 3.30 p.m.:—The Directors have pleasure in presenting their balance sheet for the year ended August 31st, f* 1907. The net profit, 8.76 per cent. •» (as against 8.24 last year), is the highest earned since 1897. At the close of the year the loans amounted to £51,250, being £6,300 in excess of the figures for 1906. During the year the Directors have increased the permanent capital of the Society by the issue of 250 fully paid up £lO shares at a premium of £1 per share. Two of the Directors, Messrs A. R. Bunny and James Elliott retire from the Board by rotation this year, but are eligible fur re-election. There are no other candidates.
