Timms, of Masterton, was married to Mr Jas. Waters, of Masterton. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a becoming cream voile costume, trimmed with white silk, and bat to match. She was attended by her sisters, Misses Elizabeth and Eileen Timms, as bridesmaids. They each wore steel-grey costumes, with hats to nr-itch. Both the bride and the bridesmaids carried shower bouquets. Mr Harry Waters, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and the J ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dean McKenna. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence j of the brides' parents, Queen Street, at which there was a large number of friends present. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold Granny chain, and to each of the bridesmaids a gold brooch. The bride presented the bridegroom with a set of gold sleeve links. Mr and Mrs Waters, who received a large number of handsome wedding presents, left by the mid-day train for Napier. The bride's travelling dress was of navy blue cloth. ' BARNES—SIMMONDS. A quiet wedding was celebrated at the Masterton Methodist Church, yesterday, the contracting parties being Mr Thos. Barnes, eldest son of the late Mr Josyph Barnes,, of Masterton, and Miss Alice Simmnnds, eldest daughter of Mr Simmonds, of Featherston. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr William Simmonds, and the ceremony was performed bv the Rev. J. N. Buttle.
