The Masterton and Ked Star teams will meet in the Renall Cup contest, on Saturday next, at the Showgrounds. Both clubs will put in strong teams, and a good game should result. By Telegraph—Press Association. WAIHI, September 23. In the final local cup football match, on Saturday, two players were ordered off the field by the referee. The game was abandoned after ten minutes' play by one team leaving the field. AUSTRALIAN GAME. Carlton and South Melbourne played off for the championship in Melbourne on Saturday, Carlton winning for the second year in succession. South Melbourne were second and St, Kilda third. The scores were—Carlton 6 goals 14 behinds, 50 points, South Melbourne G goals, 9 behinds, 45 points.
