MEIKLE ACQUITTAL BILL.

The Meikle Defence Committee met, to-night, about twenty »ym- ' pathisers being present, to considei'" the provisions of the Meikle Acquittal Bill. The measure was favourably commented on, though a sub-committee ■was set up to draft proposed amendments. Resolutions were passed expressing gratitude to the Government for introducing the Bill and hoping the measure would be speedily put through its final stages.
