CARTERTON.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Friday. The Rover Football Club's ball, which was held in Victoria Hall, last evening, proved very enjoyable. Excellent music was supplied by Messrs W. Heap (piano) and R. Crawley (cornet). Messrs J. McGuinness, W. Levick, N. McKenzie, C. Fairbrother, E. Fairbrother and G. Hall., were M's.C. Extras were played by Mr Finney, and Misses Brown, August and Hall (2). The death occurred this morning, after a comparatively short illness, of Miss Lorna Berrill, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. J. Berrill, of High Street. The deceased was 13 years of age. The relatives will have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement.
