SHOOTING FATALITY.

WELLINGTON, September 20. Mr C. Doust, overseer for Mr H. R. Benn, near Lake Tikitapu, left home, yesterday morning, to go pig hunting, accompanied by three dogs, and did not return. Last night one dog returned. A search party of about thirty went out early to-day, .and found D'oust's body not far from home. There was a shot through the forehead, evidently the result of an accident. The deceased was a quiet unassuming man, and much respectA e d. His parents reside in New South One of the search party was thrown from his horse, and badly bruised about the head. He also sustained a • severe cut over the eyebrow.
