GRIEVANCES OF RAILWAY EMPLOYEES.
By Telegraph—Press Association
AUCKLAND, September 20
The reply made by the Premier in the House of Representatives to the question drawing his attention to the grievances of railway employees, was submitted yesterday to several members of the railway staff, and some interesting rejoinders were made. A general impression seemed to prevail that the Premier had failed to grasp the real position, and although a number of additional men were seen not one was found to suggest that there had been the slightest exaggeration in the statements of the men previosuly published, several remarking: "'The case for the employees was put most fai'ly, and the Premier's statement in the House ia no reply at all to it."
