By Telegraph —Press Association
AUCKLAND, September 19
The Auckland City Council decided that a break which occurred in the Ponsonby No. 2 reservoir necessitates its abandonment. The Council has acquired a site, and will erect a new reservoir which, with the larger mains to meet the increased consumption of water in the city area, will involve an expenditure of between £25,000 and £30,000.
