IRISH IMMIGRATION.

A motion carried at the half-yearly meeting of the Hibernian Society's District Board, at Auckland, last month, that steps should De taken to encourage Irish immigration, was discussed at the quarterly meeting of the Wellington Society, to-night. A resolution disapproving of the proposal was carried by a large majority.
