ACCIDENT TO A COACH.

WAIROA, September 18. A coach while proceeding from Napier to Wairoa tumbled down an embankment at Kakariki last evening. The outside passengers jumped off after the driver had endeavoured to prevent the accident by getting hold of the leaders, the leading reins having broken. Two of the outside passengers had a miraculous escape. The coach was smashed, but no one was seriously injured. The coach horses rolled down one hundred feet.
