(Prom Our Own Correspondent.)

» Wednesday. BJCvHorwn. of Pahiatua, has donated 35 apple trees to the Carterton District High School, which are to be planted in the agricultural plots. The Methodist Band of Hope held its fortnightly meeting in the Schoolroom, last evening. The Rev. W. J. Elliott presided. A good programme, consisting of songs, recitations and a dialogue was provided. Owing to the wet weather experienced lately the garden plots at the local High School have suffered considerably.
