WEDDING.

HOUSTON-LANGDON. A quiet wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew's Church, yesterday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr Chas Houston, of Hawera, and Miss Isabel Langdon, second daughter of Mr W. Langdon, of Lansdowne, and late of Tasmania. The bride was given away by her father, and was handsomely attired in a dress of soft white silk. She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a dainty shower bouquet. The bridesmaid was Miss Mary Langdon, sister of the bride, who wore a pretty costume of cream silk with hat to match. She also carried a bouquet of forget-me-nots. Mr P. Houston, of Wanganui, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and the groomsman was Mr W. Langdon, brother of the bride. The ceremony was performed by tho Rev. A. M. Johnson. After the w-dding a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, only members of both families being present. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold pendant. The presents received were costly and nuiiierous. The newly-wedded couple left by the afternoon train for Napier, where the honey-moon will be spent. The bride's travelling dress was a navy blue cloth costume with hat to match.
