(From Our Own Correspondent.) z*" *. Saturday. Improvements are being effected at the Taratahi - Carterton Racing Club's Course, at Clareville, and everything is being put in order in readiness for the annual race meeting. Eight hundred gallons of inilk was received at the Taratahi Dairy Factory this morning. lam informed that about the middle of December next, the amount of milk received daily will be about 2,200 gallons. The Carteuton District High School will re-open on Monday morning, after the term holiday of two weeks. A large number of settlers attended .the funeral of the late Mrs Wm. Hart, which took place at the Clareville Cemetery to-day. The Rev. C. Biair, of the Methodist Church (Greytown) conducted the services at the graveside.
