"MOTHER GOOSE."
The pantomime "Motlier Goose" will be staged at the Town Hall, Masterton, on Saturday, 21st instant. According to reports, never before has a theatrical organisation b,een accorded such a hearty and spontaneous reception as the Mother Goose Company received on its arrival and opening in Auckland recently. A fever of anticipation was manifested a week previous at the Box Office, and when the members of the company set foot on New Zealand soil, there was scarcely a seat left unreserved for the whole of the first week. On the third day of their season special excursion trains, ran for the benefit of pantomime patrons, brought people from every district in the Auckland railway section, even from such distant parts as Hamilton and Rotorua. The Auckland press, without exception, describe the production as by l'ar the most magnificent that has ever been seen in this country. The box plan will open at Miss Rive's on Wednesday morning next.
