CHRISTCHURCH, September 13. A heavy snowfall—the worst for two years—has fallen at Springfield. Lambing is in full swing and serious results are feared. Heavy snow is also reported from Hanmer ar.d generally along the foothills in mid-Canterbury and northwards.
