FISHING REGULATIONS.

ASHBURTON, September 13. The Council of the Ashburton Acclimatisation Society, at a meeting last evening, passed the following resolutions regarding the new fishing regulations:—(l) That section 16, under the regulations gazetted on the 29th August, 1907, shall not apply to the district under the jurisdiction of the society; (2) that the word "worm" be added to clause 6; (3) that in clause 4 the words "halfseason's license be 12s Gd from 20th December to 30th April." and that m clause 12, after the wcr.ls "chemical preparation whatever," the words "except small fish put up in formalin or other preservative" oe added.
