GOVERNORS' SALARY.
Received September 13, 10.32 a.m. MELBOURNE, September 13. The State Assembly negatived a proposal to reduce future Governors' salary from £5,000 to £2,000 per annum.
SECESSION MOVEMENT. Received S. i ptembor 13, 8.32 a.m. BRISBANE, September 13. In the House, Mr Plunkett moved that the Government take steps to bring about the separation of Queensland from the Federation. Mr Kidston, the Premier, opposed the motion. The debate was adjourned.
