NEW ZEALAND TEAM OF BOWLERS.

LONDON, August 2. The New Zealand team of bowlers, concluded their tour at the end of the Scottish programme, and are now scattered about the country, holiday making. They put up quite a good record. It was predicted that in Scotland, the stronghold of English bowling, they would not win a single match; thev won five out of seven, and this, despite the fact that they went through five banquets on five successive davs, meeting fresh opponents each day. Altogether they won thirteen matches, and lest eight. Mr W. Wakeman, of Pahiatua, whose play was one of the distinctive features of the tour, will remain here until November, along with his wife and daughter. Mr Wakeman is the shipment of some nheasants and deer to New Zealand on behalf of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society,
