FATAL ACCIDENT.

By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 10. An accident which does not appear to have been witnessed by anybody occurred, this afternoon, and terminated fatally. When the electric car stopped on the Kilbirnie line it was found that the conductor was missing. A search was inade and the man, whose name is Athea, was found lying beside the tram-line. He was picked up, and resumed his duties. Subsequently he went home ill and summoned a doctor. Later he became worse, and before a second doctor could be summoned Athea was dead.
