A VENETIAN SENSATION.
A COUNT SHOT. Received September [lO, 7.18 a.m. VENICE, September 9. Naumoff, a Russian, has been arrested on a charge of fatally shooting Count Kamarowski, a Russian, "at Venice. The lattei-'s life was insured for £20,000 in favour of the divorced Russian Countess Tarnowski, aged 26, to whom he was betrothed. The latter and h?r lawyer, Prilukoff, have been arrested here on a charge of collusion in connection with the murder. She alleges that Naumoff, a young married man, was passionately in love with her and was determined to kill Kamarowski. She sent Frilukoff with a detective to protect the Count and prevent murder, but Prilukoff confessed that her extravagance had ruined him and driven him to rob his clients. She then planned the murder to obtain Kamarowski's insurance, Prilukoff and she desiring thereafter to marry. She added that Naumoff was a mere tool in her hands. Received September 10, 10.25 p.m. VENICE, September 10. Countess Tarnowski confesses to complicity in the murder, and describes Prilukoff as the originator.
