NEWFOUNDLAND FISHERIES.

Received September 9, 9.34 p.m. LONDON, September 8. It is officially announced that Britain and United States, pending arbitration on the subject, have arranged a vivendi for the conduct of the Newfoundland fisheries. The arrangements are substantially the same as those of 1906. American fishermen may ship with Newfondlanders as members of crews outside the threemile limp, and America in return waives the use of purse and seine nets, and also undertakes that American fishermen shall not fish on Sundays.
