UNCERTIFICATED TEACHER DIFFICULTY.
By Telegraph—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, September 6. The Southland Education Board is making a.i effort to deal comprehensively with the uncertificated teacher difficulty. Teachers have been circularised to the effect that unless they make progress satisfactory to inspectors towards obtaining certificates by the March examinations, their engagement, which with uncertificated teachers is only temporary, will terminate. In the way of assisting teachers over this difficulty, which is recognised as a considerable task for a working teacher, the Board has decided to recommend the Minister that provision should be made in the regulations permitting candidates to take the examination in sections.
