Building trades.—Local carpenters have been employed erecting sheds and d spelling-houses, bat wet weather presented them getting in full time. Retail teade (general).—Trade in ail branches has been very slack through the bad state of the roads jand flooded rivers. Miscellaneous.—Blacksmiths have been doing very little work during the month. Unskilled labour.—All local men have been employed during the month at road-work, scrub-cutting, draining and -fencing; but the wet weather, prevented them making full time, j Only a few swaggers were seen on j the road; all of them get employment at scrub-cutting. There is plenty of work in this district for good men. ,7. GREYTOWN. r Building Trades.—Fairly busy. Retail trade (general).—Good. Unskilled labour.—Local labour fully employed.
