ROYAL GRAND OPERA COMPANY.
To-night Mr George Musgrove's Royal Grand Opera Company are to give their first and only performance in Masterton. The visit of a combination of this class should certainly be a memorable "event. The opera for this evening is Gounod's worldfamous work "Faust,"' the story and music of which are well or partly known to every opera goer. Mr Musgrove's Company comes to Masterton with credentials of the highest class from the Australian critics, and the cities already visited in New Zealanc'. The Company, including- principals, orchestra, chorus and ballet, number over one hundred and twenty people, and the production this evening will tie mounted in the same way as regards scenery, costumes and appointments as in the large cities. The principals are artists all new to this country, and to Australia, having been specially selected by Mr Musgrove for this tour on his recent visit to Europe. Patrons should note that the opera will commence at 7.40 o'clock.
