PROPOSED SHANGHAI EXHIBITION.
Received September 3, 12.59 a.m. MELBOURNE, September 2. The Victorian Commercial Agent in the Far East notifies the Government that it is proposed to hold an Exhibition at Shanghai in 1909. There is every prospect of sufficient exhibits being provided by British and foreign manufacturers, and the Government's agent suggests that it might be a suitable opportunity po bring Victorian products into prominence in the East.
