PERSIA.
THE PREMIER ASSASSINATED. Received September 2, 9.24 p.m. TEHERAN, September 2. Arnin-es-Saltaneh, recently appointed Premier of Persia under the new constitution, was assassinated at Teheran, when leaving the National Council, where he was unpopular owing to his tendencies not being regarded as sufficiently advanced. His treatment of the TurcoPersian incident was not considered sufficiently energetic.
