TALISMAN CONSOLIDATED.

" DIFFERENCES SETTLED. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, August 29. The agitation among colonial shareholders in the Talisman Consolidated in connection with demands for representation on the Loudon board, etc. reached finality to-day. On receipt of the offer from the diiectors, telegraphed yesterday, communications took place between the Auckland and Wellington shareholders' committees. The former were in favour of accepting the offer, which they declared to be a practical concession of all'the demands made. The Wellington committee, however, sought further concessions, the principal one being the right to have two representatives on instead of one. This point was threshed out in further telegraphic communications and ultimately, agreement was reached by the Wellington committee giving way. A telegram was received to-day from the Wellington chairman, Mr S. Weston, announcing that his committee had decided to agree to acceptance of the board's offer. On receiving the Wellington message, the local committee telegraphed to Mr H. Stansfield, manager of the mine, to the effect that the colonial shareholders accepted the offer of the board, and requested him to cable Home accordingly.
