REPATRIATION OF CHINESE.
Received August 27, 11.17 p.m. LONDON, August 27. In the House of Commons Mr W. Churchill, replying to Mr F. C. Mackarness, said that the Transvaal's policy was that the Chinese should be repatriated in a steady stream at the employers' expense on the completion of their indentures. He was unable to encourage expectations that the Imperial • Govern sent would accelerate the process. It was open to the Transvaal Government to accelerate it by any means they thought fit.
