NOTTS WINS THE COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP. Received August 22, 9.36 a.m. LONDON, August 21. Notts defeated Middlesex by five wickets, and wins the county championship. Up to the present Notts has won 14 matches out of 18, and lost none. Received August 22, 9.18 p.m. LONDON, August 22. England, in the second innings made 138 (Foster 35, Braund 34). South Atrica lost five wickets for 14-9. The match was drawn.
