OUR LONDON LETTER.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON, August 12. Mr Wyldie-Browne, of Auckland, is expected here shortly on a two years' visit. Miss Wylde-Browne and Mr C. Wylde-Browne will accompany him. Mr P. C. Freetn, of Palmerston North, is now visiting Scotland and Ireland. He will return shortly to New Zealand by the Siberian route, via St. Petersburg. Mrs H. Sullivan, of Wellington, who left the Moldavia at Port Said, has now arrived in London. She is accompanied by her son and daughter. Mr P. T. Eenway,' of Gistorre, came by thvj India to Marseille?, thence overland via Paris. He wiil do a lot of motoring v.hile here both -in England and on the Continent. Mr F. R. Gillingham, of, Fairlie, has just arrived in London from the United States. He is on a pleature trip round the world. Mr Keir Hardie, M.P., is just leaving here for a health trip round the world. He leaves Liverpool today for Canada, and Japan, afterwards visiting Australia and New Zealand. Mr Kier Hardiee is the present chairman of the Independent Labour Party. Mr J. F. Best, of Wellington, who came over to secure a type of motor car suitable for the New Zea-, land roads, has been spending much time at the motor car factories of the Midlands. He is accompanied by Mrs Best, and when he has completed the business in hand, they will visit Ireland and the Continent, leaving on August 11th by the Scharnhorst for New Zealand. In proportion to ixs population, writes a trade paper, "Grocery," New Zealand sends far the largest amount of goods, and also of foodstuffs, and also takes from us the largest amount of British manufactures.
