HOCKEY.
The following team will represent United against Carterton A, at Lansdowne, to-morrow:—Hatch, Denton, Rees, Nico), Carley, Parton, Bradbury, Tooby, Baker, Olds and Wing. Considerable interest is being taken in this match as it will practically decide who will hold the championship for this season. If Carterton A win or make a draw of it, the Cup goes to them, while if United win, Carterton A and Kia Kaha will have to play off for the premiership. Owing to Greytown having forfeited to Kia Kaha, the latter Club will play a practice match against the Knox team, at Lansdowne, on Thursday afternoon, play starting at 3 pm. The following will represent Kia Kaha:— Truscott, Gordon, Thynno, Donald, McLean, Anderson, Richards, Rue, Williams, Brown and Nixon.
