FATE OF AN AERONAUT.
DASHED TO PIECES. Received August 20, 10.4 p.m. NEW YORK, August 19. T. French, an aeronaut, left a balloon with a parachute at a height of half a mile at Newhaven, Connecticut. The parachute failed to open and French was dashed to pieces.
