MASTE.RTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report holding their fortnightly sto:k sale yesterday. Owing to the unfavourable state of the weather sheep did not come forward up to advertised numbers. Bidding under the hammer was very slow, and the bulk of the business had to be done by private treaty. We quote:—Ewes in lamb 13s 6d tj 18s 9d, empty ewes 9s, hoggets 13s to 17s, fat cows £4 15s to £6 ss, springing heifers £3 5s to £3 10s, Berkshire sow in pig £3 2s 6d.
