FAREWELL SOCIAL AND PRESENTATION.
(Carterton Correspondent.) One of the most pleasant social gatherings that have - been held for some time took place in the ?vlethodist Church, Carterton, on Tuesday evening, when Mr and Mrs Andrews and the two Misses Andrews were the recipients of useful presents from the Church and Sunday School. A concert programme was rendered by members of the choir. ■ During an interval the Rev. W. J. Elliott, on behalf of the adherents of the Church, in a few pleasing remarks, presented Mr and Mrs Andrews with a silver teapot, and hot water-jug. To Miss Maud Andrews a silverbacked hairbrush, comb and purse, on behalf of the Sunday School and Chiistian Endeavour Society, were presented by Mr D. T. King (Superinendent). Mv J. Jones (teacher), on behalf of her clabs. handed to Miss Nellie Andrews a very nicely-bound Bible.
