WEDDING.
HAMLET—EAGLE
A quiet wedding was celebrated at St Matthew's Church, yesterday afternoon, when Miss .Emma Eagle, eldest daughter of Mr H. Eagle, was married to Mr Robert Henry Hamlet, of Kaiapni. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr Ernest Eagle, and was attired in a handsome tailor-made navy blue costume, with hat to match. The bridesmaid was Miss Ettie Eagle, sister of the bride, and she wore a becoming grey costume. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. M. Johnson. Subsequently a reception was held at the residence of Mr F. Donovan, High Street. A large number of guests were present, and the usual toasts were honoured. The newly-wedded couple were the recipients of many valuable presents. Mr and Mrs Hamlet left by the evening train for Napier, where the honeymoon will be spent.
