A JUVENILE KELLY GANG.

By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, August 10. The Scar's Dargaville correspondent telegraphs from Kaihu stating that on Wednesday evening three lads, aged about eighteen years, broke into Tierney's store and stole two rifles and a thousand cartridges. They also took three horses from a paddock and proceeded to Tutamoe, where the following morning they raided Oliver's store, taking a gun and various goods. They then discarded the horses, which returned home. The gang is now camped in the ranges, which are difficult to traverse. It is rumoured that they stuck up a pedestrian in a fruitless quest of cash. The police have the matter in hand, but the natives consider that the capture of the young "desperadoes" will be most difficult without the assistance of expert bushmen and natives. It is declared that the action of the boys is the outcome of a desire to emulate the Kelly gang. THE INEVITABLE. Later. The youths were arrested while taking meals in a boarding-house. They submitted quietly and did not seem to realise the gravity of the position.
