CARTERTON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Friday. The second of a series of dances promoted by members of the Rover Football Club took place in the Victoria Hall last evening. The music was supplied by Miss Berrill (piano) and Mr R. Crawley (cornet). Refreshments were provided by a ladies' committee. Extras were played by Mr Finney and Miss August. Mr Finney also played the accompaniments to the songs, which were contributed by Messrs Warner (2) and Watson. The duties of M's.C. was ably carried out by Messrs McGuinness. Faitbrofcher, Hall and N. McKenzie. A number of trees that overhat g the streets of the Borough are being cut down by owners of property under notice ir ued by the Borough Council. During the month of July there were thirteen births, four marriages and one death in Carterton.
