France and Spain have determined forthwith to enforce the provision of the Algeciras Convention for the Franco-Spanish policing of Casablanca and will land troops.Members of the French colony, numbering 160, took refuge aboard a British merchantman. Several French battleships and cruisers and a Spanish warship are preparing to proceed to Morocco. The Italian cruiser Etna has been placed at the disposal of the French Legation at Tangier. The British cruiser Antrim, lying at Gibraltar has been ordered to hold herself in readiness for service.
