With reference to Queensland's objection to the New Zealanders selecting Mr Morgan, of New South Wales, as referee for to-morrow's match, the Secretary of the local Union to-day received a wire from the Queensland Union stating that they thought it was unnecessary to incu*" the expense of sending Mr Morgan, as there were already several New South Wales referees in Brisbane, besides Queensland's own competent men; adding that the manager of the New Zealand team told the Queesland Union that he objected to Mr Morgan's appointment, and they appointed another referee. The manager of the New Zealand team has wired to Mr Morgan regretting that Queensland declines to agree to his appointment
