BUTTER MARKET OVERSTOCKED. SYDNEY, July 27. The local butter market is in an unsatisfactory condition. It is heavily overstocked, and arrivals are still increasing. Large quantities are being placed in cold storage. SYDNEY BUILDING TRADE. SYDNEY, July 27. _ There has been great activity in building operations. During the year ended June 30th, 4,207 buildings were erected within the metropolitan area, while within the past five years ten million pounds has been expended in Sydney and suburbs in buildings. POLITICAL SITUATION IN QUEENSLAND. BRISBANE, July 27. There have been no further developments in the political situation. A meeting of Government supporters will be held on Tuesday. It is expected that the Government will resign, and recommend that Mr Philp be sent for. SUPPLIES FOR THE NAVY. Received July 29, 1.3 a.m. SYDNEY, July 28. Admiral Fawkes, speaking at the annual dinner of the Commercial Travellers' Association, indicated that in future a larger proportion of supplies for ships on the Australian station would be drawn from Australia and New Zealand. He supported a policy of the Navy being fed by the Empire.
