UNDER THE RED FLAG.
DEMONSTRATIONS IN LONDON. SEVERAL ARRESTS MADE. Received July 15, 11.20 ,p.m. LONDON, July 15. Three thousand members of the Independent Labour Party and Social Democratic Federation held a demonstration on Sunday in Trafalgar Square against the conclusion of any agreement between Britain and Russia. The speakers, who included Mr Will Thome, a member of the House of "Commons, Mr R. B. CunninghamGraham, Mrs Despard, a prominent leader of the Woman's Suffrage movement, and Mr H. M. Hyndman, denounced Sir Edward Grey, and pleaded on behalf of Russian freedom. Mr Jack Williams, a leader of the unemployed, induced the crowd to demonstrate at Whitehall. The police prevented Williams from climbing a parapet and seized several red flaps. Hyndman was rolled in the mud, and Mrs Despard was slightly injured during the scuffles. A few arrests were made, including two Russians. The disturbances lasted twenty minutes. ,
