PARK AND LIBRARY COMMITTEE.

The Borough Park and Library Committee met, last evenng, there being present —Cr3 J. C. Ewington (chairman), F. W. Temple. W. Morris, and J. Prentice. An apology for absence was received from Cr Elliott. The question of abolishing the cycle track in the Park was allowed to stand over until the raising of the stop-bank is further considered. It was resolved to authorise the Custodian to obtain a horse and dray for a few days for necessary work in the Park. With a view to iinproving the Bruce Street entrance to the Park, it was decided to ask the Works Committee to have the road spoil from Cross Street carted to fill up the low portions of the entrance. It was resolved to meet on Thursday, 18th instant, to consider arid prepare a report on the proposal to erect a. new Library building.
