J MEETING OF.TRUSTEES. (A meeting of tlie Trustees of the hNorth Wairarapa . Benevolent So- • ciety was held yesterday afternoon. fTJjere were present —Messrs R. T. "Holmes (chairman). W. Morris, J. Morris, and Mesdamos J. Cairns and ' E .MiT Kean, the > newly-appointed took her seat for the first time, and was formally welcomed iby, the Chairman .on behalf of the .Society. /The Trustees con£rmed the action -of the Chairman and Secretary in admitting an old man to the Renall--Solway Home during the month. .in answer to a letter from the •Trustees asking whether he could support his mother, a resident of ■Kurjpuni wrote explaining his position, .and adding that he was unable to to assist his mother. No action was taken ;in the matter. The.Chairman's action in authorising repairs to the drainage and having .two tanks put ,«p to catch the rain -.water at the Renall-bolway Home during the month was confirmed. The matter of clearing the paddock .at the rear ,of the RenallSoiw.sj-' Home preparatory to having trees planted there, .was left in the hands of Mr J. Morris. The pay-sheet, amounting to £SO 7s 4d, of wvhich £l3 15s Sd was on acCDunt of the Rem'i-Soiway Home, was parsed for payment.
