AUCTION SALE.

An auction sale of drapery and general goods, including crockeryware, cutlery, boots and fancy goods, will be commenced, to-day, in the Foresters' Hall, at 1.30 p.m., and will be continued on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The sale will be conducted by Mr VV. H. Hawkins for the Manufacturers' Direct Importing Company, and will be without reserve. The Company state that the goods are direct from the British manufacturers, are all first-class lines, and in the Manawatu and Rangitikei districts they have had a most successful series of sales. Particulars of the lines to be sold will be found on page 8 of this issue.
