STANDARD OIL TRUST.
MR'ROCKEFELLER'S EVIDENCE. Received July 80, 8.5 a.m. NEW YORK, July 7. Mr J. D. Rockefeller, who had beem summoned to give evidence respecting the financial condition of the Standard Oil Trust, appeared before the Chicago Federal Court. He stated that his presidency of the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey was purely honorary. He had not taken ,part in.its affairs for eight or ten years, and was without knowledge of its connection with the Indiana Company. Mr Rockefeller's examination, which has now concluded, was without result.
