SUSPECTED SMUGGLING OF ITALIAN ART. VENICE, July 5. Customs; officers overhauled the yacht of Mr Pierpont Morgan, the American millionaire, who has of late years been making extensive art purchases. The officers believed that Mr Morgan had purchased part of the Strozzi art collection of Florence, and was endeavouring to clandestinely remove it. Their search, however, revealed nothing. Mr Morgan vows that he will boycott Italy in future.
