IHURAUA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

The heavy rain that fell on June 26th brought down a few more slips in the district. We have had a fine week, and the roads are beginning to dry up.

A concert was held here, on June 28th, in aid of the piano fund of the School. The concert was well attended. An excellent programme was submitted, and most of the items were encored. The items given by the school children were very good, and met with well-deserved applause. We are losing our popular postmistress, who, with her parents, is leaving the district.
