ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER.

WHANGAREI. July 3. Alan Edward Bisset* the victim of the reported stabbing affair at Opuawhanga, is still alive, though in a very precarious state. Bradshaw, who was charged with the attempted murder of his uncle at Opuawhanga, was missed from the steamer Aupouri, while being brought to Auckland by a cons able, and was presumably drowned.

About six o'clock this morning * Bradshaw said he wanted to go on deck, and the constable accompanied him. Bradshaw suddenly bolted behind the deck houses and was not seen afterwards. (On Tuesday, Merwyn Karl Bradshaw was brought before the court at Whangarei on a charge of attempting to murder Alan Edward Bisset, at Opuawhanga on July Ist. Accused was remanded for eight days on the application of the police, as Bisset was lying in a critical state unable to appear.)
